Local comedian Conor Holler and music promoter/musician Cameron Reed have combined their magical powers to create an amazing series about a fantastical radio station that is going under.

Mental Beast follows the radio station's staff as they try to save their jobs with a Christmas fundraiser, all the while getting into fights, trashing bathrooms and offending Ben Mulroney with farts.

But wait, it gets better. In this age of convergence, Mental Beast is also a real radio show and an album. The Christmas carols in the videos, featuring some of Vancouver's best indie-rock bands (such as fanshaw and Analog Bell Service), will be released as an album called Eggnog Experience later this month.

I kid you not, it gets even better. There will be a Mental Beast party on Thursday, December 18th at the Biltmore, with proceeds going to the Greater Vancouver Food Bank. Along with performances from Eggnog bands, it will also include a screening of the final episode.

Below are the first three video episodes. Follow the Mental Beast site for more.
