Bella’s Favourite (Peanut Butter+ Banana) Holiday Treat
Ingredients
1 cup whole wheat flour
1/2 cup creamy peanut butter
1/4 cup unsweetened applesauce or mashed banana
1/4 cup vegetable, chickenor beef stock/broth
bone-shaped cookie cutter
Method:
Preheat oven to 350 F. Combine flour, peanut butter and applesauce or banana in a large mixing bowl. Add stock and stir until well-combined. The dough will be thick. Once mixed, use your hands to press the dough into a ball.
Place dough ball on a flat service (with a sprinkle of flour if needed) and roll out evenly with a rolling pin. Dough should be about 1/4-inch thick. Use a cookie cutter to cut the dough into desired shapes and place on baking sheet.
Bake for 18 minutes or until goldenbrown and dry. Larger cookies may need to bake longer! Store in an airtight container.
Zeke’s Favourite (Cheddar Cheese) Holiday Treat
Ingredients
2 cups whole wheat flour
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
1/2 cup wheat bran
2 eggs
1/2 cup water, or beef/chicken broth
4 tbsp honey
2 tbsp melted coconut oil (optional)
Method
Preheat oven to 350 F. Combine dry ingredients and wet ingredients in separate bowls. Pour wet ingredients into dry ingredients and mix to combine.
Roll dough between sheets of wax or parchment paper to a thickness of 1/8-inch. Cut out with cookie cutters. Bake for 20-25 minutes. Store in an airtight container.
