Finding Home: Searching for solutions to youth homelessness

As many as 700 youth under 25 are believed to be homeless in the Lower Mainland today. Many have aged out of the foster care system and end up on the streets without an education or a job. In issue #125 of Megaphone, we examine the barriers unique to youth that prevent them from getting back on their feet and under a roof of their own.

Also in this issue: sex workers appreciate new Sex Workers Rights Cards but say a lot needs to change in police culture before sex workers are safe; Pivot Legal Society accuses the Vancouver Police Department of discriminating against vendors in the Downtown Eastside; the community of Terrace surveys residents about the need for the community's first youth homeless shelter; vendor Ray Soucy brings his business to Burrard Street; plus horoscopes, arts listings, and more!
