Overdose prevention training and front line stories are coming to Vancouver neighbourhoods

As fentanyl continues to flood the illicit drug market, overdose prevention is our best defence against B.C.’s overdose crisis.

That’s why Megaphone and the Overdose Prevention Society are partnering to deliver stories from the front lines and overdose response training in Vancouver neighbourhoods this fall.

Our team will share perspectives from the front lines of a provincial health emergency, and offer training to make sure your community has the skills and equipment it needs to respond to an overdose when it happens.

The multi-venue neighbourhood tour, made possible by funding from the City of Vancouver, and supported by media sponsor CBC Vancouver, begins October 11, 2017.

Events run from 7 to 8:30pm at the following venues:

Wednesday, October 11, Mount Pleasant Neighbourhood House
Monday, October 16, Gordon Neighbourhood House
Tuesday, October 24, South Van Neighbourhood House
Monday, October 30, Grandview Calvary Baptist Church
Monday, November 6, Cedar Cottage Neighbourhood House
Monday, November 13, Kits Neighbourhood House
