Towards Equality: Lee Lakeman's fight for women's rights

Lee Lakeman has been at the centre of Vancouver’s feminist community since the early 1980s. In Megaphone #135 we look back on Lakeman’s life: from overcoming poverty in Ontario, surviving sexual assault and her views on the fight to legalize sex work.

Also in this issue: A one-in-a-kind housing project that could provide the necessary supports for refugees looks to get the last pieces of funding; Megaphone vendor Suzannesings the praises of Vancouver's homeless advocate Judy Graves; Megaphone vendor Sid on throwing out the first pitch at the Vancouver Canadians game; and much more!!
