Join us June 22nd to celebrate the launch of Voices of the Street Stealing Looks at the Sun: Writing About Climate Change in 2022, Megaphone's 12th annual special literary edition! This anthology features work from 23 writers marginalized by homelessness and poverty, including Megaphone vendors and participants of Megaphone's creative writing community workshops.

This will be are first event back in-person since 2019! You're in for a treat.

The night will feature heartfelt stories, readings from a handful of Voices of the Street writers, insight from community photographers whose photos complement the writing and a special poetry reading from Vancouver's Poet Laureate, Fiona Tinwei Lam. This event is a beautiful combination of the tenderness, humour and perseverance that makes the Megaphone community special.

Tickets are $10 and are offered as a livestream option as well for those who are unable to join us person. Though the ticket prices helps us cover costs for this project, it is important to us that income is not a barrier. If you'd like to attend and cost is a barrier, please get in touch with us.

This event sells out every year. Get your ticket early to avoid disappointment!
