Megaphone is seeking Front Desk Volunteers to support our Vendor Hub operations. The Vendor Hub is located at 312 Main Street in Vancouver's Downtown Eastside and is where Megaphone vendors and storytellers purchase Megaphone product, come in to learn about upcoming workshops and events and connect with Megaphone staff. New vendors come in to inquire about the program and community members, customers, and other supporters occasionally drop by with requests. As a Front Desk Volunteer, you'll be the point of contact for those accessing the Vendor Hub and assist Megaphone vendors, storytellers and other community members or direct their requests to Megaphone staff onsite.
This is a 3 month volunteer position, from late-February to May, with a commitment of 4-8 hours per week (The Vendor Hub is open from 9-4:30 Monday to Friday). Preference will be given to candidates able to commit to the full length of the position.
DEADLINE: Deadline for applications is February 17th, 2023 at 11:59 PM.
Interviews: We expect to conduct interviews for this position the week of February 17th.
Expected Start Date: February 27th , 2023 or as soon as possible after.
